About

Hello there! 

I'm Amanda, a storyteller and communications strategist. 

My career has been split between journalism and public affairs and I've come to realise that the common denominator is an abiding love of stories.

On the comms side, I've been privileged to work on international development and social impact issues such as educational advancement, youth development and climate action. Through my work, I've been able to partner with so many great organisations doing amazing work and I've often thought about how I wished that their stories were being better told.

On the journalism side, I was passionate about the profession from the time I was a kid, scoring my first front page by-line when I was a 15 year old intern! I went on to work for that same newspaper, the largest in my country, for many years eventually becoming their first digital editor and then a managing editor. 

I was able to see first-hand, the impact of a well-told story - its ability to get help for those who needed it or to create awareness and spur action. 

I know that stories have power and I want to help others, particularly those seeking to do good and create change in the world, harness that power.
